Why Mars?

We picked Mars, because/for
• Mars is close to Earth, so if we need to leave Earth, Mars would be the faster route of leaving. 
• The atmosphere is better than Venus.
• If we had to leave Earth quick and we had a settlement in Mars, we would have a good chance surviving.
